Yes, smart to go to the police and file a report. Many states are enacting new laws that prohibit abuse of social networking sites. For example, in my home state of Texas, it’s now illegal to create a Twitter account pretending to be an institution, such as a police department, when you are not.

my daughter 19 ex boyfriends new girlfriend got my daughters password put malicious e mails to family members also put that she was pregnant and her father was making her get a abortion said under her profile that she liked women and had herpes that she liked giving blank to guys [i wont put the fulgarity] i have called the warren county sheriffs office and we will be making a statement and will be seeking criminal charges against this girl

if you are on a Mac use the app 1password to protect youself.
If you are on a PC use Robo Form. They can make highly
encrypted pwords for all of the sites you log into and keep
track of them all and you will be safe.
