The Hartford Courant should be ashamed of themselves. I've had a subscription for years even though I'm a conservative and they lean towards being very liberal - I guess like most media these days. I really enjoyed George's column. Not so long ago he helped me and my neighborhood of 80+ neighbors with an enormous issue involving CL&P. He is someone to be admired for his tenacity in getting to the bottom of issues that involve many companies who operate deceitful business practices against honest consumers like ourselves. I won't be renewing my subscription. Good riddens.

George, you will be missed! You are among the last of the titans, and all us owe you a beer. Job well done!

I canceled my subscription this morning. There's nothing left to the paper. They're putting themselves out of business.

the only part of the paper that has any value to reading. The rest of the columnists (not Urbanas) are not worth reading. I used to get the paper delivered 7 days a week...for the last 16 years...now I am down to 3 days a week. I think I will cancel it altogether.

George's column was one of the last things left that I liked most about the Courant. They've taken away Parade Magazine on Sundays and the local reporting is now a mess. There's nothing worthwhile left. Plus, most papers got their start by reporting all the news, not suppressing controversial items. When news gets suppressed, that's essentially censorship. Do we really need that. I don't think that is healthy. I strongly urge the Courant to reconsider their decision.
